在開幕晚宴中，德亞瑟主理主教介紹了伍山河牧師給在座500位領袖，他被譽為是德亞瑟主教所見過最具領導力的牧者之一。透過伍牧師的領導，聖靈的膏抹及指引下，永光堂成為了五旬節聖潔會在美國本土以外首屈一指的一所教會。
伍山河牧師是一位有講道恩賜的牧者，他說得一口流利的英語。初時的永光堂只有少數的會眾，伍牧師看到自己作為牧者的角色，就是要激發肢體去發揮他們的潛能，承擔教會的事工。事實上，這為他分擔了不少壓力。伍牧師亦往往能發掘有潛質的領袖，栽培他們，派他們擔當牧職。這一周，就有數百名永光堂會友不惜請假，放下手上工作，付出時間陪伴我們，他們都在機場接機、攜著我們的行李，帶我們搭乘公共交通工具到酒店。聚會中的音響、攝影、錄影，全由永光堂肢體負責，他們記錄了每場演說、祈禱會及敬拜。
晚宴當日，更有肢體站立在不同位置，指示我們通往宴會場地的路。而每個餐桌上，皆有兩位永光堂會友充當接待來賓的天使，與我們一同坐席、交談、解釋每道餸菜的特色等。當晚12道菜式皆十分美味，並由永光堂請客。
來到周四及周五的晚間聚會，由於聚會在五旬節聖潔會永光堂進行，一班天使就來到酒店接我們，搭乘旅遊巴士抵達聚會場地。聚會完結後，又會陪同我們回到香港帝京酒店休息。
在這間組織性強大的教會中不乏熱心作工的人及牧者，他們甚至願意走出教會，接觸及體察他人的需要。

Donavan Ng, Field Superintendent of Hong Kong, IPHC, and the founder and first pastor of the Wing Kwong Church gave the Keynote Address
Presiding Bishop Doug Beacham introduced Donavan Ng to some 500 people gathered for the Opening Dinner Banquet as one of the most effective leaders he has ever known. Through his leadership, under the anointing and guidance of the Holy Spirit, Donavan Ng has led his Chinese people to build the largest Pentecostal Holiness Church outside of the United States.
Donavan Ng is a gifted speaker and speaks fluent English. He saw early on in his ministry that his role as a pastor of a small congregation was to empower the people to achieve their potential and do the work of the ministry of the church. That took a lot of pressure off of him He knows how to identify potential leaders, train them, and release them for ministry. This week several hundred of his people took leave of absence from their jobs or careers to give of their time to be with us. They were there at the airport to greet the IPHC people who came, get their luggage, and transport them by bus at the expense of the Wing Kwong Church to the hotel. Sound engineers and cameramen were present taking photos of the people and video taping the singing, prayers and speeches.
They were there last night at every turn standing with signs showing us the way to the place where the dinner banquet was to be held.
At every table there were two of his people, ministering angles, seated with us to engage us in conversation and explain the variety of food we would eat. We were served a 12 course Chines meal that was delicious. The church paid for our dinner banquet.
On Thursday and Friday, they will pick us up at the hotel to take us by chartered buses to the Wing Kwong Pentecostal Holiness Church for the evening worship. Following the worship service, they will transport us back to the Royal Plaza Hotel.
The Wing Kwong Church is highly organized with willing workers and ministers who reach out to meet the needs of others.
